Day 727- Alaska Trip-Skagway

The 1897 Klondike Gold Rush

When gold was discovered in Canada's Yukon Territory in 1896, the news sparked one of history's greatest migrations. Tens of thousands of stampeders poured off steamships into Skagway to tackle the arduous journey inland

The White Pass & Yukon Route Railway was an engineering marvel completed in 1900 to bypass these treacherous trails.



Clinton, British Columbia, is a historic South Cariboo village established in the 1860s during the Cariboo Gold Rush. Originally known as "47 Mile" because it was 47 miles from the gold rush Mile 0 in Lillooet, it served as a vital junction and resting point for prospectors and freight wagons
