What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been, speedily propelling us toward our camp host job in beautiful Beverly Beach, OR. Visiting family in Redding is always a pleasure. We were thrilled to attend our niece Paige's softball game. Tom had a wonderful time fishing with friends on stunning Lake Shasta. From Redding to Arcata, we had an amazing experience meeting up with friends for a few days. We even met a fellow camphost in lovely Bandon, OR. Day one of camp hosting was a huge success.

Day 547- Arizona- Scottsdale-Goldfield

Giants games were a hit - they may have a chance this year!

Max Stassi a Yuba City, California kid, where he was a 4-time varsity star, won three section titles, and posted a .514 career batting average with 40 home runs. He also won gold with the US National Team in the 2006 Pan American Game. I met him while he raise funds for local food banks in 2008.

Goldfield, Arizona, founded in 1893, was a booming gold mining town in the Superstition Mountains. Its rapid rise and fall resulted in its current status as a popular tourist attraction in Apache Junction, Arizona

Fellow Oregon State Park Camphosts Art and Jeanette made our day.

Dan, Lynn and Brian joined the party at an epic Dueling Piano show.

Day 534- Tombstone, AZ.

Got my cowboy boots dirty in Tombstone, AZ.

Established in 1879 as the Golden Eagle Brewery, Tombstone's Crystal Palace Saloon is one of Arizona's oldest, continually operating historic watering holes. Destroyed in an 1882 fire, it was rebuilt as a lavish casino and theater frequented by Western legends like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday

Big Nose Kate's Saloon in Tombstone, Arizona, was originally built in 1880 as the luxurious Grand Hotel. It famously hosted legendary Old West figures like Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and the Clanton Gang. After a devastating fire in 1882, the surviving structure was repurposed into a lively bar, now operating as a popular tourist destination.

Located in Tombstone, Arizona, Boothill Graveyard was the town's primary pioneer cemetery from 1878 to 1884. Named for the fact that many of its occupants "died with their boots on" in violent shootouts or hangings, it serves as a gritty, historical monument to the deadly realities of the Old West
