Day 181-Baseball Trip- New Mexico

Taken back by the beauty of New Mexico.

The Very Large Array (VLA) in New Mexico is one of the world's premier astronomical radio observatories. Located on the remote Plains of San Agustin, 50 miles west of Socorro, the facility consists of 27 giant radio antennas that work together as a single, massive telescope

The "Roswell Incident" began in July 1947 when a rancher discovered unusual debris in a sheep pasture near Roswell, New Mexico. Although the U.S. military initially announced the recovery of a "flying disc," they quickly claimed it was just a crashed weather balloon, cementing the foundation for decades of extraterrestrial conspiracy theories.

Pie Town, New Mexico is a tiny, unincorporated community along U.S. Route 60 on the Continental Divide. It gets its highly unconventional name from a 1920s mining and general store venture where a veteran began baking dried-apple pies for cowboys and travelers, inadvertently putting the remote town on the map
